What is coaching?
-
Coaching is a structured conversation focused on getting you from where you are now to where you want to be.
-
In coaching, you can expect to do most of the talking. I believe you already have the answers you need to achieve what you want. It’s my privilege to help you access them through questions, observations and gentle challenges.
-
Coaching helps you stay motivated and accountable for actioning the changes that you want.
What coaching is not
Coaching is not mentoring – I won't give you advice or suggestions.
Coaching is not counselling – We won’t be doing in depth exploration of your past.
How do coaching sessions work?
-
We’ll usually meet online via video call (Microsoft Teams, Google Meet). If you’re not comfortable with being on camera, no problem just let me know.
-
Sessions are typically 60 mins. If this feels challenging for your concentration, we’ll work out an option that suits you. Making sure you’re able to get the most out of sessions is key.
-
We usually meet fortnightly but we’ll tailor this to suit your needs. At the end of each session, we agree the date and time of the next one.
-
Every session, you can expect to leave with a set of actions that you feel excited and motivated to complete.
-
The number of sessions you have will be unique to you but typically your first experience of coaching will involve 6 sessions.
How much does coaching cost?
Everyone’s needs are individual so together we’ll agree a bespoke package that suits you. I offer discounts for NHS, Social Care workers and students/apprentices. You can spread the cost in instalments if you need.
Can I contact you between my sessions?
Absolutely. If you have a success to share or challenge you’ve encountered, you can email or send me a text/Whatsapp.
Is coaching confidential?
Coaching is completely confidential. I comply with the ICF Code of Ethics and only in extreme circumstances will this confidence be breached e.g. if I believe you or someone else is at risk of harm.
Do you have a coach?
Yes. I’ve experienced more benefits from coaching than I can count! And the positives I’ve taken go far beyond the specific goals I’ve worked on.
