Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if coaching is right for me?

  • Do you feel that you aren’t reaching your potential and feeling fulfilled?

  • Is there a gap between where you are now and where you want to be?

  • Do you sometimes feel you don’t have the skills, resources or confidence to move forward?

  • Do you feel stuck and put off making decisions or end up not sticking to the decisions you’ve made?

  • Are you ready to consider fresh ideas?

  • Are you willing to invest in yourself?

If you answer yes to any of these questions then coaching can help you.

What is coaching?

  • Coaching is a structured conversation between Coach and Client, focused on getting you from where you are now to where you want to be.

  • In coaching, you can expect to do most of the talking. I believe you already have the answers you need to achieve what you want. It’s my privilege to help you access them through the questions, observations and gentle challenges I offer in our sessions. I'll also encourage you to make decisions and take responsibility for actioning these decisions.

Note: not everyone likes the word ‘goal’ and that’s okay – in coaching we’ll use language you’re comfortable with.

What coaching is not

Coaching is not mentoring – I won't give you advice or suggestions.

Coaching is not counselling – We won’t be doing in depth exploration of your past.

If I get the sense that coaching isn't the right support for you at this time, I’ll discuss this with you to find a suitable solution to support your onward journey.

How do coaching sessions work?

  • We’ll usually meet online via video call (Microsoft Teams, Google Meet). If you’re not comfortable with being on camera, no problem just let me know.

  • Sessions are typically 60 mins. If this feels challenging for your concentration, we’ll work out an option that suits you. Making sure you’re able to get the most out of sessions is key.

  • We usually schedule sessions every fortnight but we’ll tailor this to suit your needs. At the end of each session, we agree the date and time of the next one.

  • Every session, you can expect to leave with a set of actions that you feel excited and motivated to complete.

  • The number of sessions you have will be unique to you but typically your first experience of coaching will involve 6 sessions.

How much does coaching cost?

Everyone’s needs are individual so together we’ll agree a bespoke package that suits you. There's an option to spread the cost in instalments if you need.

Can I contact you between my sessions?

Absolutely. If you have a success to share or challenge you’ve encountered, you can email or send me a text/Whatsapp.

Is coaching confidential?

Coaching is completely confidential. I comply with the ICF Code of Ethics and only in extreme circumstances will this confidence be breached. This includes the intent to cause harm to yourself or others or criminal acts.

Do you have a coach?

Yes. I’ve experienced more benefits from coaching than I can count! And the positives I’ve taken go far beyond the specific goals I’ve worked on.
