When I stepped away from occupational therapy...

...it was because I was feeling symptoms of burnout.

At the time, my mindset was “this is happening to me”.

But having time away, I realised that although the pressures around us are real, it was the pressure I was putting on myself that affected me most.

And that was the part I could do something about.

I made my way back to occupational therapy. But this time, with the knowledge and tools to enjoy the work and keep my wellbeing intact.
